The Divisadero Street commercial corridor that runs through the Haight, NOPA and Western Addition neighborhoods is a bustling stretch of retail and restaurants and home to the popular music venue The Independent. Beginning at Haight Street the corridor runs parallel to the Panhandle near the DMV and Alamo Square Park, ending at Eddy Street. More green is coming to the corridor in the Spring of 2008 when new trees and historical style streetlamps will be placed along the corridor and sidewalks widened to enhance the pedestrian experience. The 24 Muni Line runs the length of this corridor and several citywide routes cross it.
