Urban Solutions’ Green Business Initiative helps new and existing businesses identify money-saving opportunities that better our environment. Benefits of receiving our customized services, offered at no-cost, include:

Getting an On-Site Assessment

From start-to-finish, assessments take about 1 hour. During the free assessment, our green business consultants and the business owner or manager walk through areas involving water, waste, energy, and chemicals. Review operational practices with the consultants to discover additional cost and resource reduction opportunities.

Receiving a Customized Report

Based on the assessment, Urban Solutions develops a customized report of findings, recommendations, and money-saving opportunities. Each opportunity has a cost/benefit estimate so you can decide which activities are right for your budget. Urban Solutions helps implement certain recommendations at no charge.

Urban Solutions can also help you apply for the SF Environment Green Business Program, which provides recognition and free advertising for certified green businesses.

Staying Current Through Workshops

We hold quarterly educational workshops on topics relevant to small businesses. Obtain insight and practical tips on vital sustainable business resources and connect with the local green economy. All workshops are free and open to the public.
