Detail oriented individual needed to oversee small and medium-size building improvements in the South of Market Redevelopment Project area in San Francisco. The position requires excellent project management skills and the ability to interface with a diverse mix of clients and vendors. Interested candidates should be familiar with aspects of construction, maintenance, repair, and the design process. The Project Manager will ensure the accurate and timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assess building and retail store rehabilitation and improvement needs

  • Extensive administrative functions to support projects

  • Work with business owners, property owners and architects to generate design plans and construction drawing

  • Prepare bid documents and obtain estimates from contractors

  • Oversee the completion of projects coordinating with owners, architects and multiple City agencies

  • Organize meetings and special events

  • Attend and present at community meetings

  • Oversee Economic Development interns

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of project management experience

  • Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, able to prioritize and take the lead on projects

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills

Additional desired capabilities:

  • Commercial corridor revitalization experience

  • Economic development work in underserved communities

  • Graphic design skills (Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Architecture & design experience
